Posted February 1, 200817 yr What would be a nice amp to power this design?http://www.zaphaudio.com/ZBM4.htmlI have a logitech 2.1 system and i know this maybe a bootleg way to do it but could i use the power from its 2 channels to power these bookshelf speakers?
February 1, 200817 yr No you really don't want to "bootleg" it.What's your budget? For clean power, you can't overlook AudioSource AMP series amps. They're not SQ beasts, but they put out.http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cf...tnumber=302-600http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cf...tnumber=302-601http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cf...tnumber=302-603

February 2, 200817 yr those keiga 2.1's always cought my eye. anyone have any experience with them? i think they oem for eD , but im not sure.
February 2, 200817 yr Personally, for a 2-channel + sub setup, I'd use a vintage integrated amplifier and a plate amp...something like a Marantz 1060, NAD 3020 and a 75-watt or so plate amp will be pretty reasonable in price and probably outlast you, which can't be said for a lot of new production stuff...
