I'm in the market for a 22" LCD monitor for my music server. Constraints are that it needs to be under $350 after any rebates, and I don't want a lot of backlight bleedthrough.

What would you guys recommend?

You can't really beat the performance of the Dell widescreens for the price and options.

That's what I'm finding out.

I think I'm going to end up with a 22" Dell...the Samsungs have backlight bleed-through issues, from what I've been reading.

there is some backlight at the top/bottom but not really noticeable unless the screen is ALL black

All LCDs are going to have at least some backlight bleed just from the very nature of how they operate. I recommend purchasing one at one of the big-box stores (Staples, Costco, Best Buy, Circuit City, etc.) as their return policies are generally superior to those of the online stores (no shipping costs, no restocking fees, etc.), so you can take it back w/o any hassle if it isn't acceptable ...
