all iget is a new window..maybe a black flash..then the symbol for quicktime.

i have checked and i have the newest version.

i can't get them to play in wmp either (though that wasn't exactly a surprise..heh)

could it be my firewall? i have a norton system office or something like that....i also have the firewall that came with the network card enabled...

My two cents:

First right click and try to save target as (ie explorer)... that we'll at least give you a hint to see if you can gain access to the file. Then check the file extension of the downloaded file.

Second curse microsoft, b/c its the best thing to do in any situation

I know Quicktime can be quite tempramental with Windows, (insert long stories here).

Check your pop up blocker too.. those things can be a pain in the a$$ when you least expect them...

if the save target as doesn't work... post again with your results

If Quicktime is saying it doesn't understand the file, then you either don't have the latest version of QT, or youe QT install is corrupted and you need to reinstall. They play fine on mine, so QT does understand the files.

i;m not for sure what version of ie i'm running..the computer is set for auto updates..so i guess thte latest..

i just uninstalled quick time and will reinstall it to see if that works....i'll also check and make sure i have the latest ie..
