Posted February 29, 200817 yr ive made posts before about a kicker 2500.1, mtx ta92001 and hifonics xxv amps, but im not sold on them. For a while ive been trying to put together a setup and i think i got it. probably going to go with 2 15" BLs. And ive seen an american bass VFL 200.1 rated 3000 watts @13.8 volts, so I was like sweet, and i would like to know how much this amp runs for (price).and ill have all new electrical to back this amp up. Thanks~ROB~well ive ran vfl's, xd's for the last 4 yrs, and for 1. they are rated at 3000@[email protected]'s, not 13.8... they are very very good solid amps, and powerhouses to say the least...you can email Bob @ the above email address, but i hope your pockets are not too shallow... my best opinion if they are, look for a used one... but they are well worth the money..they are also .5ohm stable ALL day long, and i have also ran a 1/4 ohm load for a day "with decent play time" and it took it, no popped fuses, got a little warm and everything, but it took it.. I DO NOT RECOMMEND TO RUN THAT LOW DAILY, but for burps they can take it no problem... JUST HAVE THE ELECTRICAL TO BACK THEM UP.....but they will eat .5ohm ALL day long.. i ran mine daily at that for 8 months straight with NO problems.... i highly recommend the vfl line...also they will accept up to 18v... hope any of this has helped you out.... like i said i have a lot of PERSONAL experience with that EXACT amp......

February 29, 200817 yr The one setup I heard VFL's in sounded like ass, but I'm not sure if that was a function of the amp itself or the way he had them set up...I would hope it's the latter, because there were definitely some distortion issues in those...
