Posted March 17, 200817 yr I need 2.5 cubes @ 33Hz. The box will be 15Hx36Wx12.5D with 3/4mdf which should net 2.96cuft.Displacement 0.14cuft. Now the problem! Can anyone tell me what tune the box will have if I go 2.5Wx14L?? I think I am way off here. After adding .75 to the ports width for the wood wall I finished with 2.47cuft. Which is pretty close to the 2.5cuft goal. I am open for suggestions with the whole box and can trash the 15h x 36w idea. Also, would be great if I knew the exacts for finding a ported boxes tune in standard. Thanks for any ideas and help in advance.
March 17, 200817 yr you say 2.5W x 14L That's dimensions for a circle port, not vent\slot. Even if you mean 2.5w and high with 14L, you still lookin at no more than 0.08 cubes of displacement which is WAY TOO SMALL port area.Reply with what port size you were referring to again so i can understand what you are asking.God!, just joined and already confusing everybody.... hehe
March 17, 200817 yr Author Thanks for having a look. The box is 15"h using 3/4"mdf so the port would be 13.5"h x 2.5"w x 14"L displacement would be somewhere around 0.27 cubes. any idea what i need for 33hz?
