just for reference purposes, i KNOW for a fact, that 5.4 cubes tuned to 90Hz doesent work well for a 15.

however, if you take about 5 cubes and tune it to 43Hz it is a much better box, until you lose the aero ports

2 cubes sealed w/polyfill is ok, but I can tell once I get my 3cuft sealed box w/polyfil it will be much better. It just sounds like it needs more room to move.

how much room should be bewtween the backplate/bottom and the back wall of the box??

hoss [and anyone else who has heard both], do you prefer the sound of a magnum ported (to say 30hz) or a 2.0 cu ft. (somewhere in the area) sealed enclosure both with say 650 watts?

I have heard both. Mine was previously in a 4.25 cuft ported tuned to 30 and it was extremely lout, but the sealed adds a little more sq which is what I love with my Mag. It still gets PLENTY loud sealed and sound excellant.

Yeah, I thought Hoss's Mag was going to be moving a TON but it was just normal for most music. Performance was dead on the money of what I was expecting though. But we'll get that fixed whenever we figure out what the f*@& is going on with his high-dollar alt.
