i dont know much about car audio

but i have decided to buy a 18'' btl but i do not know what options to get

i will never go to a competition i just want a street banger

for the next 3 months i will be using an alpine v12 series 1000.1 rms at 2 ohms

and will upgrade to a 2000.1 at 2 ohms

i will be using this sub on a ported box every day

so what options should i get?

I don't know how else to explain it easier than what's written there...

P Chamfer: This is a chamfer on the end of the pole, it helps to bring the air down around inside of the motor and helps cool the coil better. It also helps relieve the pressure underneath the dustcap. We recommend at the bare minimum to get this option if you choose this series of woofers.

Cooling: Self explanatory, the cooling channels are machined into the inside of the sub to help cool the coil FAR better. But there are some things that you sacrifice. There is less metal inside of the motor so it is a little weaker. If you are looking for a fart/burp only scenario for SPL we suggest that you do NOT get this option. Stick with only the P chamfer. Now if you are looking for a daily sub to beat on and you have 2000+ watts the BTL series is for you.

3rd magnet: This simply adds more clearance in use for the HiXmCoil. If you intend on using the sub for an SPL application we suggest that you get the 3rd slug with No cooling options and only the pole chamfer.

Flatwind: The flatwire coil option is standard in the BTL.

HiXmCoil: This coil is simply much longer than the normal dual 1ohm or dual 2ohm flatwire coils and allows for more xmax. If you are using this in a daily scenario we suggest that you choose this option, especially in the 15 and 18 inch models.

Honestly, with the amount of power you have, I'd probably choose the BL over the BTL for your application.

so the bl will be louder with 1000 than the btl with 1000

and by making the word bigger did not help me at all

so the bl will be louder with 1000 than the btl with 1000

Who knows. But there's a better chance of the BL using that power more effectively.

And to hopefully answer your question, the options that would work for you are the P-Chamfer, Cooling, Hi-Xmax coil, 3rd magnet, daily gap, and maybe the Universal option if you want to change voice coil impedance later...

Please tell me you understand that...

would i damage the sub for under powering it?

Not if you know what you're doing...

Not if you know what you're doing...

i will have professionals design my box and connect my system

not (bestbuy) i will go to staytuned local auto sound store

so basicaly get it full loaded?

oh yeah what ohms should i get using a 2ohm stable amp

You'll want to order a dual 1 ohm voice coil sub and wire it in series to get a final load of 2 ohms. Your installer can do that for you.
