Posted April 23, 200817 yr I just want to get this straight, the 1/0 run from my amp to battery, i would hook into the 1/0 slot in something like THIS, and then connect that to the actual battery terminal.. right? Also, why does it say its a Pos/Neg battery clamp? (Doesnt it matter which side of the battery you hook it to?)sorry for the pure newbnessand Thanks to everyone that replies haha

You need a fuse holder as close as possible to the battery too.2) Doesn't matter, but having the polarities labelled is a good idea.
April 23, 200817 yr if u buy 2 of the same terminal, some terminals are marked + and - instead of just being universal. You should know which is which without markings since the batteries themselves(factory ones) are marked right on themselves.
April 23, 200817 yr Author alright thanks, and yeah i know of the fuse and everything, it was just hooking the wire to the actual battery. Say i hook the clamp to the positive end of my battery. What do i do with the factory clamp and wires that are already there? how do they hook on along with the clamp for my power wire? Edited April 23, 200817 yr by QuestionMan

April 23, 200817 yr Author i use marine termsOk i looked at those.. and i'm likin the concept (simple) and price ($20 less) hahah. Where exactly would the ring terminal from my 1/0 power wire go on it? Is it on one side of the screw that clamps the marine terminal around the battery terminal? Again, i dont see what happens to the clamp thats on there for all the factory wires. Does the marine terminal clamp around the factory one?Edit: not sure if i'm being too clear, i dont really know how to say it right, but does anyone know what im talking about? April 23, 200817 yr some of the wires are too long.. i did it in the rain.. my lil brother from fla was here for the summer... it was the rainest summer we ever had..... so we did what we had to do... stood in the rain and did wiring... anyway... there are some burn marks... not from the wires touching.. but from my lil brother not being able to control a torch...
