Posted April 26, 200817 yr i have a OZ ME10.2 i'm going to use for my HT sub. i'm wanting to incorporiate (sp?) it into a end table since i don't have one for eather coutch. if i do sub and port both pointing down, how far off the ground should i have it? i will be also going at about 1.25 cubes, what should i tune it to?
April 26, 200817 yr I'd like to see at least 4" of clearance, more is even better. As for the tuning, for HT somewhere in the realm of 14-20hz would be fine. 18 is probably a logical starting point.
April 26, 200817 yr Usually about 3-4 inches. Do you have the parameters of the sub? You would normally want to build large and tune low, if you can. Doing that will allow you to pick up some of the ultra lows that exist in today's movies.Best,MarkEdit: Ha! Sean beat me to it..

April 28, 200817 yr I think 4" would be plenty. I messed around with our home theater sub and its floor clearance. Anything over 4ish didnt make much difference
