May 2, 200817 yr ive got a 02 blazer and will be installing 6.5" comp set up front and getting rid of the rear speakers, would there be anything wrong with mounting the x-overs in the rear speaker location? I don't see a problem with that, strange choice though. I would usually see if I could fit them on or in the door somewhere.
May 2, 200817 yr are those rear speakers in the rear door or just in the sides in the back? If they're in a rear door that would just be a lot of unnecessary work to put all the wires through the door jam. but if you just have a 2 door and they're in the back, no there's really nothing wrong with it.
May 2, 200817 yr it's really a moisture problem with putting them in doors. If you cover/wrap the crossovers in something to keep them dry they'll be ok though. I usually like to hide my crossovers somewhere up front just so that I don't have to run two pairs of wires from back to front on each side, but that's not a huge deal.
