What are some of alpines flip out monitors that work with the h701? i was looking at getting a iva - d310. Any experience with this headunit? Also would i be able to hook this up to a pioneer 9800 headunit? Without a dvd display is manually tuning this a pain?

It's not possible to tune it without a compatible A-net deck.

You can get the RUX-C701 to control the H701 if you don't want buy a screen.

I have the IVA-D310 and the PXA-H701

Never had any issues at all with it, its flawless. No wait I take that back, the only thing I dont like about the combo I have is:

Should I want to use the time alignment, I have to enter it manually.

But with the RUX-701 controller, I can do it automatically with the supplied mic.

If you dont what to get the screen or an Alpine deck you'll have to use the RUX-701 controller.

What does the RUX - 701 go with? Does it couple with another headunit but just replaces its face? im confused about this part

IIRC, the C701 is a standalone unit, used only to control the H701.

It's merely just a controller for the H701. Nothing more, nothing less.

the iva-d310/h701 combo is nice... The only thing holding me back right now is not having an sq car.

As stated you have only 2 options to really control the H701. The C701 or a video deck. There are other Alpine decks that can control it, but the interface sucks.

if a iva-d310 is coupled with a h701 is the d310's "brain" still needed?
