I got a alpine pdx 1.600 and an infinity kappa perfect 10.1 sub....as the only sub. Is it gonna blow it/make it sound like chit? The RMS is 600 on the amp, and 350 RMS on the sub.

Keep your gains conservative and you should be fine..

If you ever smell the VC starting to stink, then just back off on the gain... :neil:

I could also run a jl 10w6v2.....which I originally intended, but am selling the speaker cuz I wanted SQ over SPL's.

That Infinity perfect 10, will take that amp just fine.... Just keep the gains true and dont run it full tilt all the time. :neil:

You want SQ over SPL? Yet you chose an Infinity over the W6?

Something isn't right here.

ha I was thinking the same thing when I read that.

I'm saying, I want tight, deep bass, that will drop on jazz....maybe some grant green....but at the same time hit when I wanna thump some Dj Drama, nothing that's gonna require a dynamatted trunk or flex my shiit...just enough to shake the soul...nah'mean?

OK, so why did you go with the Infinity over the W6 then? You're goals are contradictory to your sub choice in my opinion.
