Alright, as the topic says, I'm looking for a component set for my Thunderbird. I currently have a pair of Infinity Kappa coaxial speakers in it. They are 6x8 and that is what my bird is designed for. I'm looking to spend no more that $250 on a set. They will be powered by a RF P400.4 amp. I have no problem fabricating some MDF size reducers if necessary.

This is my only place of reference really, and I trust most all of your opinions. No one around my area has any type of aftermarket stereo, so I really can't demo anyone.

Over all what I'm looking for is something that can get loud, but still sound clean. Any suggestions or previous experience with a certain pair is welcome!

Thanks,

Ryan

I also just realized that I probably posted this in the wrong section. -_-

So if a mod could move this it would be appreciated!

my suggestion for that price range would be the polk db series. Highly efficient and soft tweeters sound good. I don't know what kind of products you have access to.

i have some type r alpine 5x7 comps.
