(just to stir a little traffic)

today, i will be building a box to go in a x-cab ranger that will hold three memphis pr12's. it will be a shared chamber 6ft^3, with 62.5in^2 of port and tuned to 35hz. these will be pushed by a mtx 1501d bieng shown 2.6 ohms (the subs are dual4, will be series, parallel), so i'm guess around 1000-1200 wrms. i've already replaced all four factory speakers with memphis pr5x8's (major improvement) being pushed by a rf 100a2(yep, the 5x8's are bridged left and right side [they are 4 ohm] so no fade) all being directed by a eclipse h/u. i'll get the model number tomorrow. pics either sunday night or monday night.

now, my silverado will be losing it's single pr10 in favor of a pair of 10" hpo's. they will be pushed by a memphis pr500d. i'm trading the pr10(which i paid $50 for) for one hpo, the other was given to me and is currently at memphis getting reconed as the surround was dry rotted.

the 500d i'm getting for $160 and doing (some which i have done) installs. pics will be forthcoming as well......

that's about it for now....

Sounds nice, cant wait to see pics, going to carpet it?

the ford box will be carpeted the OEM color (or real close..lol)

i dunno about my box...but probably...

i've got a few pics of the install in the ford, but i'm waiting till i get the box built...also there will a semi false floor where the amps, caps and distro blocks will be hid...i say semi because kevin (the owner) will still have access to the adjustments on the amps..

So any update?  How did it go yesterday? :)

- Steve

went well..

all that's left is getting rid of the rf 100a2 that's powering the highs(has a short in the rca inputs..sometimes u have to jiggle it to get the right side to work...going to be replaced with an mtx amp to match the 1501d) and to add the other two 1 farad caps (already has one)

pics in the show off section...

sounds great!! list of equipment in the ford x-cab ranger..

eclipse h/u(forgot to get model number..lol)

4 memphis pr 5x8's in factory locations

rf 100a2 pushing the 5x8's

3 memphis pr12d4's in 6ft^3, w/62in^2 of port tuned to 33hz

mtx 1501d bieng shown 2.6 ohms

hits hard enuff that u can't play a cd in the eclipse and expect to turn it up...lol....shakes the ground 10ft away from the truck!!! not bad for entry level subs..hehe

Yeah Memphis has suprised me with their lower lines over the past few years now.

Glad it worked out well :)

- Steve

i agree...IMHO, the pr line of subs, speakers and amps jsut can't be touched for looks, value and performance. toss in the four year warranty..and BOOM....u have a winner!!

simply a great line of product all the way around...

hope u checked out the pics!!
