I won an auction last night on a Diamond audio 400.4 amp under a hundred shipped. Not familiar at all with the brand but had heard of it which is why I went ahead and got it. Any words of wisdom regarding the brand and amp?

Yeah I know this is the Sundown forum but you cats give great advice.

Nothing wrong. Nothing great. Diamond has taken a plunge over the past few years and a lot of dealers have dropped them. This amp is decent but will not hold a candle to Sundown.

Oh yeah. Never figured it to. But 92 bucks shipped.... Local store carries them. They got all excited about my inquiry. but just wanted info. May work for boys car. Now need to find subs and order a 1000.

Diamond Audio was great before 2006... I have a d7 amp sitting in my room that I will never sell because they were such amazing amps. It runs at like .002% distortion and is a beautiful shiny/plexi covered amp. That being said, since Diamond was bought out in 2006 iirc their products are a lot like alpines, they are good for the money but better can be had.
