June 6, 200817 yr hopefully your looking into an active set up, but do you intend to do a 2 way front stage or a 3 way front stage?
June 6, 200817 yr What ever driver you choose, deadening and sealing the doors plays a crucial role in strong midbass

I either use silicone caulking or shoe goo ( they make a stronger automotive version of it now ) to attach. Then deaden over top of that. I also tend to do a layer of ensolite ( or some other gasketing foam ) between the door panel and the door it's self. Not so much for sealing as much as for rattle reduction

Going to be MUCH harder getting that impacting midbass.then im gonna have to go 3 way
June 6, 200817 yr I'm struggling with my choices. I really would like to go 3 way but it's nearly impossible with my situation currently. I need to find an answer to my quest for 2 way midbass myself. If I was going 3 way though, SLS.
June 6, 200817 yr LOLthat's to you.I have picked Seans brain over and over again. This thread is for you sir. I only chimed in to confirm that if you have an option go active, do it and go 3 way.
June 6, 200817 yr Author What do you have for processing?? That will determine what you can use.LOLthat's to you.I have picked Seans brain over and over again. This thread is for you sir. June 6, 200817 yr You have the 730 already? Although that is only a 3 in 3 out so if you do a true "4 way" (sub included) you will either need to use the sub outs on your h/u or have a little crossover availability on your midbass/sub amps.If you go 3 way up front, Neon gave you two stellar options. If you go 2 way it will be a different story.Budget? Other drivers you want to use/need/space for? Amplification?Oh, and the deadening comment wasn't a joke it is 1000% necessary.

June 6, 200817 yr I think the Peerless are currently out of stock though. Should be some used ones floating around.3 way or 2 way will make the big difference now.
June 6, 200817 yr Author Next question is, what processing, midrange & tweeters are you using?i was thinking mb quart or focal comps....
