I just got off the phone with Ohio Gen, for a 95 Honda Accord they are suggesting $525 + shipping for a 160amp (195peak amp) alternator. Is this a good price?

And

I got a quote from Dom for $400 +shipping for a 200amp alternator, but have heard many GOOD and many BAD stories about his alts.

And I haven't had a call back from EA yet about a quote on an alt.

Which would you choose?

Thanks,

Curt

I'm in the same boat for my '99 civic. I think I'll be going with Iraggi over EA, but if I wanted to throw down the cash, Ohio Gen would definately be my first choice.

I MAY go with Iraggi just so I can finish my system before my summer ends. My budget is tight and getting everything at different times is a pain with time.

Hopefully he can powder coat it!

Haha, I hear ya. Now I know I'm in the EXACT same situation lol. But I may know where you can get one for the LOW. Yours is the 2.2L right?

2.2 4cyl vtech

Haha I am trying to buy that one from him tonight, not 100% sure if I am though. I just called power master and he said "I am sure it will fit your car but you are probably going to do some bracket modifying

My car has the same engine as yours so the same would go for you. (I have a 94 accord with a 2.2l engine)

I thought it would because I'm pretty sure that 90-97 accords have the same setup as far as electrical goes. iirc

Well thanks for all the help guys, darkhunter I'm encouraging you to back out on this deal! LOL just kidding, but if you get it have fun with it!

Curt

Going to pick up my check at work in a few hours so it wont be long until you will know :D
