Posted June 29, 200817 yr i know theyre rated at like 700 - 1000 RMS or so but could 4 of them stand up to 2 DD Z1's @ 1 ohm each gain matched??
July 1, 200817 yr i know theyre rated at like 700 - 1000 RMS or so but could 4 of them stand up to 2 DD Z1's @ 1 ohm each gain matched??z1 is what 3000 watts? Im not too fimil with the new ones but the old ones took quite a bit more then they were rated at. I would think it would be pushing it close, for the average person i think it would be okay. Just watch the cooling
July 2, 200817 yr no what I'm saying is I have a MJ-18 and I dont think it would like 1500Wrms it would probably fry, they dont get much louder past 800Wrms or at least the old one's were like that
July 3, 200817 yr Jeremiah is right, the MJ is not a volume monster. Beyond 1kw they wouldn't put out much more, so don't invest in something that goes beyond that.Best,Mark
July 3, 200817 yr I *think* Rudy did a 143 with a pair of MJ's sealed and 2kw. If this is loud enough, then great.
July 7, 200817 yr 146.3 db drag legal, sealed 6.5cf box for both subs, Earthquake PH-D3 amp running them. They don't get much louder past ~700 watts a piece.
July 14, 200817 yr but do they hit hard though?2 Old MJ's tuned to 9 Cubes @ 33hzDid 139.2 64hzBR 133.2 @ 29hzOh, off of 600w Total.
