i think mine is taking a dump, my system has been weak as i made a topic about the problem 2 weeks ago,

now its whining,

i bought my current HOA from ebay... just a no name... it worked fine.. but now is not.

i emailed OHIO and thay never respond to my emails.

i emailed them before and thay never responded thats why i dont have an ohio currently

i know iraggi has had problems latly... so who else do we use?

i want atleast a 200 amp. no less. and if i can find a daily 300amp t hat would be sweet

Thats odd, i got an email back from ohio very fast. but ohio does answer their phones everytime and i know they prefer it

loadboss, alt-start works good for me soo far, great price, lifetime warr.

they look so boyish, you have been using yours wha like 3 months now right?

no problems yet?

i think one of the dallas TSD guys had one aswell...

anyone else know about load boss?

yea i got an EA alt as well, on my town car, although its sposed to go on a navigator, lol, oh well works just fine...

Also, u can take that alt to advance auto and they should be able to test it for u.

the meter goes to about 250, but it doesn't turn the pulley fast enough to get that high iirc

unless u meant to get it tested it its free

so i took my alt down to the local shop... where an asshole sits that is tired of owning his shop after 25 years.. he refuses to do upgreads or mods to make output greater... pisses me off... cause when he was younger he would hop up any alt or gen you took to him... but regardless

98 bucks later he tells me my my diodes-rectier blown.... and here are some pics....

Transpo makes the best stuff on the market.

I wish I'd have know you were having problems with your alt. I have a brand new 4G rectifier I had made for my car that I never used. It's got 80 Amp avalanche diodes. I'd have made you a smoking deal on it as well.

whoa i wish i knew more about what your talking about.... what pros would i have from running the set up your talking about selling?

It's just a more robust design. The avalanche diodes are far better suited to high voltages, so they are a MUST for a high output alternator. Unfortunately, they aren't always used, and what's even worse, is the parts are so cheap, it not even worth it to NOT use them.

A good analogy would be a comparison between two 1000 watt systems. One is run with 8 guage and a 30 amp fuse, the other with 4 guage and a 120 amp fuse. Which one would you want?

Shoot me a PM if you're interested, and I'll get it from my dad's place and snap some photos, and what not.
