Hey guys, I just finished my box. Was all excited, i did i dry build first. just screw it in before glueing. After I built the box I take it outside only to find it doesnt wanna go in my car. YES I did measure twice and cut once, but i failed to measure the clearing distance of my trunk to slide it in.

Here is the plan I went by

4cuft. at 35Hz

Is there any way I can sacrifice any depth when putting this in my car?

Height: 17"

Width: 39"

Depth: 16.25"

Thanks for the input and flaming,

Curt

dont feel bad man i've done that 2x on the same car, lol..

well u can try and build it into the trunk

take the trunk off and see if it fits

or get to cuttin

Its not that the trunk is in the way, its just to small to fit 17" in where I need to push it so I can set it in place. Inside the trunk it fits like a glove, but putting it in, is a bitch.

Anyway is there any way I could sacrifice like an inch of depth to get the box to fit?

Thanks,

Curt

Are you going to completely redo the box and add that lost 1" of depth on somewhere else to maintain box size? Or you could just cut off an inch from the back and adjust the port accordingly. You'll have a little less airspace. Other than that, not much I can tell you.

I don't want to completely redo the box, but cutting an inch and resizing the port will work? I guess i can give up a little airspace for this to work

Well ain't that a bitch!

Some how me and a friend managed to fit an enclosure for an 18" BL in the trunk of an Accord. Is there any possible way of taking trim pieces off to make it fit? Or even taking out the spare tire and using the extra space to get it in?

What year accord and it just doesn't fit in general....It will fit when its in there, just not sliding it in...Wont go in the damn trunk.

Would you like me to take pictures of my epic fail moment?

i made a box for my dodge neon was only 1/2 inch to big, would not fit in the truck, luckly i was able to remove the rear seats and it mine through there before i modded my box

try removing your spare tire with the board that covers, it should fit. if not you can try removing the plastic cover around the trunk hinge, if it still won't fit you can get some vise grips and bend the metal under that plastic moulding that forms your trunk...if your willing that is.
