Posted July 10, 200817 yr looking to add subs to my '03 f250 crew cab truck. i found a premade box that has received numerous positive reviews by other f250 owners. the box can fit 3 shallow mount 12s, but im not sure who makes the best ones. i know jl and pioneer make some, but have not heard good reviews about them. what do you guys suggest? here is the box im thinking about getting:http://www.supercrewsound.com/shop/detail/11/269.htm
July 10, 200817 yr Author the new mags would be sweeti forgot to add this sub, seems like the bm would be a better fit, not sure if the mag would fit. where can i order either one? seems like they are not available on their site yet. any eta?
July 10, 200817 yr Mags probably within the next week or two. Still no ETA on the BMs.The JLs will run you $1500 for 3. I've not heard anything particularly good about the Pioneers other than they sound better than the Rockford or Kicker thin mounts. RE makes a series of thin mounts now as well. Haven't heard any reviews on them yet.
July 10, 200817 yr Author dang, the bm's are the ones that would work. the mags require too much room as the mounting depth is right but the cf of air space is too small. they also make the box available for 4-8's or 3-10s'. any other subs? depending on the wait for the bm, im willing to consider others. i would really like the bm, but dont want to wait months to get it.
July 10, 200817 yr Is that box made to the exact maximum dimensions of the back of your truck? Or is there a way you or someone else could build one for you to gain more airspace? What about porting it for (2) 10'' Fi BLs? They're only 6.25'' deep and they can sit on the back of the box considering they don't have a pole vent.

July 10, 200817 yr Author 3 10 inch sundown SD1sdidnt think about these, how do they compare to the other subs? mounting depth seems to be right, just wondering how they compare?
