will this amp run at 1 ohm daily? http://jbl.com/car/products/product_detail...ser=GTS&cat=AMP

i want to get two of them and two brahma's, 1 amp on each brahma.

since the brahma is dual 2 ohm, the amp needs to be 1 ohm stable right? will that jbl amp work? thanks for any replies.

why do you think you need 1200 watts on a Brahma?----yes they can hold it but you have to reolize you will have to do some major overhauling of your electrical system to run 2400 watts for just the bass and what are you planning on for comps up front?

What size enclosure are you going to run your Brahmas in?

read up on this http://www.adireaudio.com/Files/BrahmaPowerHandling.pdf

then you might reolize you don't need that much on your sub-drivers.

those brahmas in a ported box would reach full xmax at about 800 watts each, or if the box is pretty big, even lower power. Doubling the power (correct me if Im wrong dave) would only achieve a 3dB gain over reaching full xmax, and that would also risk damaging the driver.

I'd suggest a bpx1100 wired at 4 ohms to get a fairly substantial output, or you can go with two of those GTO1201, but wire them at 4ohms. 800-900 watts would be perfect for a brahma in a ported box, or even in a sealed as you can see from dave's link above. You wont be disappointed by any means.

you gain nothing after reaching full XMAX----you are just slamming the VC into the former----not gaining any dBs at all.

Ah, well i got an alpine 1507 for 200$ that will give you 900 watts.

and it has alot of tweeaking dials on the side.
