so my new box is going to be 5cu.ft and I think I'm going to tune it to 35hz but will I get more SPL if I go with 2 6" ports or one 6" port?

I am going for SPL but it has to hit low to so what do you all think I know the old MJ has a 12mm excursion so I dont know if there's a need for 2 6" ports

FYI this is for one ould MJ-18 thinks

Is there a code to translate this into english?

for your information the sub he is using is one (1) old MJ-18

i think.....

One is generally better, but that's only if you have adequate area with that one. a 6" port only has 28 sq. inches of area, so might have to go with 2.

With 600 watts input the air speed is 36 m/s with a single 6 inch port. With two 6 inch ports the air speed is 18 m/s. If you're going for SPL then go with the dual ports.

but how much more out put do you think it will get with 2 ports over 1 port?

if I do 2 that it will have to be on the side of the box if I do one port it will go on the front of the box

I dont know if I will lose SPL if the ports are on the side? FYI it's going in the back of a car were the back ceat was

don't ask that question, nobody knows. Just do 2 because you are less likely to have port noise and it at least can't be worse. Why would you have to put them on the side? you can bend them inside the box, if that helps.
