Posted July 20, 200817 yr Need some help got a 77 c10 dont really know what to do for a sub becuase of the lack of room, plan on putting a box between the driver side a pass side. 2 feet across 2 feet hight and 1 feet 3 inches in dept. what can i fit in something like this. I am opening to any subs, how many if i can go ported such things like that .

I wanna go with a sundown amp looking for aclean sounding sub that hits low notes at the same time /if this hepls any<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<o one more thing i listen to only rap and hip hop........ July 20, 200817 yr Do you know if you want to use a sealed or ported box? You might be able to squeeze an 18" sealed, and could probably fit a 15" ported or two 10"/12"s ported back there. Edited July 20, 200817 yr by Philanthro
July 20, 200817 yr You have 3.95508^3ft available. Barely enough for one 15" ported. Two 10" Fi BL's on a Sundown SAZ-3000D would fit your space restrictions.

July 21, 200817 yr how do bl s do on sq ?Good enough for your application...lol...ppl around this forum tend to get a bit irked if you mention sq improperly....I interpret what you mean as you want a sub that can get pretty loud and not sound like a$$...am I correct? Also you mentioned low notes earlier....there aren't any low notes in rap...you have a few that dip into the upper 20's (very few) but for the most part the Fi BL seems to be the most frequently recommended hip hop street beating subwoofer....just my .02
July 21, 200817 yr I interpret what you mean as you want a sub that can get pretty loud and not sound like a$$...am I correct?I meant that for what he listens to, I doubt he'll really notice any tradeoff that'll be there.What you mentioned is getting into personal preference and I deliberately avoided that can of worms here
