I have a 08 xB with a regular wet-cell in front. I'm going to run a Sundown 1500D. I can get a pretty good price on a Kinetik HC600, would it make a difference, or should I save my money?

i'd recommend a deep cycle battery for up front.. e.g. optima or powermaster.. it would last much longer and would be money better spent.. ;)

The HC600 is only good for 600W RMS of power. It would be too small for that application. You should look for the HC1800 to add in the trunk. You can replace the under hood batt too if you want to. If so, go with 2 HC1200, one in front, one in rear.

from my experience the 600 is almost worthless,

with a 160amp alt, duralast gold under the hood, the HC600 in the trunk, just running a kicker 750.1 the headlights in my buddies Jag still dimmed(voltage dropped to 11-ish). We swapped him out to a 800 and there's no more dimming...

So I would say save your money and get something bigger... atleast an 800 but more towards the 1400 or 1800... you can never have too much battery :)

It will help. I had a huge improvement when I added mine, but my elec wasnt great to begin with so everything added is a plus when it comes to batts. If you can go bigger do so, it will only help keep voltage up. It is way better than nothing at all.

i was actually looking into a couple 600's just to keep the weight down in my car. every pound counts :)

i already have an SP800 so maybe i will just install that, though
