I just got a Kenwood DVD player with monitor (KVT-819 DVD) and when i tested it, i do get the sound but the screen is not showing any video. It is still at the playback menu but i see no buttons to press to show the movie.

anyone familiar with Kenwood DVD player?

thanks.

still not able to play movie. Has it got to do with those NTSC/PAL setting?

go ack to the manual and read the video source select part

The video source button switches in the following order each time u press it..

BUilt in disc

TV

Video

IPOD

Rear Camera

Navigation

You can also turn off the video by holding the button for more than 1 sec.

When you press the button again the previous screen comes back up.

d parking brake connection is not connected. Does it have any interlock to video playback? how do i bypass it?

thx

yea theres ur problem, it has to be grounded...

i think to bypass the newer units u have to ground it to a switch and click on, off, on, or something to that effect

when u said that the parking brake connection to be grounded, i would assume it is to negative terminal?

FYI, the unit is not in my car yet. I just use my test bench to check if everything is ok first.
