OK I know they are out there Im just having trouble finding them. Its driving me nuts :suicide-santa: everywhere I look there is nothing but 4 ohm. Help me out guys so I can get some sleep.

thats a tough one. But I know that some of RE Audio components are 2 ohm.

You can get 2 ohm Orion HCCA mids on ebay for $120 shipped. I don't know about tweeters.

RE XXX, Infinity Kappa, and I think Image Dynamics Chameleons might be. Pretty sure ID has one of their lines at 2 ohms anyways.

But honestly impedence is about the last thing you should be looking at when buying components. That extra power isn't going to matter at all if you don't like the way the components sound because you forced yourself to pick from a limited list. Not to mention 4 and even 8 ohm components can be just as loud as the 2 ohm components with the extra power.

Not to mention that when you lower impedance distortion rises, heat rises, dampening factor drops, efficiency drops, copper loss increases, and things (amps) don't last as long....

There is a reason there is not a lot of 2 ohm components out there... And the ones that are "2 ohms" may not be what you may think is 2 ohms....

the only reason i could guess is that he wants to get full power from what ever amp hes using... M5 you have a topic that talks about ohms heat and power and what not right? i remember it being VERY long.... but i could not find it when i was looking to relay it to this OP

Think of that amp like a donkey........you load him down enough and he'll just sit there....... :Cavalry:

Maybe he is trying to find drop-ins for a "premium" factory system that uses 2 ohm speakers stock. I know alot of guys with my car (G35) use 2 ohm speakers with the factory amp for the bose system. Not saying it's the greatest thing around, but its likely thats his goal

A lot of guys with G35's need some assistance in understanding stereo's. Not only is it not the greatest idea, but it is rather a waste of money.

and still, once again, you don't NEED 2 ohm components to match those factory amps. Anything above that impedence will work, you'll just get less power.
