August 16, 200817 yr I believe MSD makes a box that will provide a tach signal with a couple wire hook-ups, but your car should be new enough to have a tach wire in the PCM

August 22, 200817 yr Author i have remote start... and it has a wire going to number 5 coil. weird. this site says it should be on number 1
August 25, 200817 yr wait #5 coil or wire?i thought it was only 2 coils, 4 on each sideorfor the sensor that checks to see if the car is on? basiclly the one u wrap around the spark plug wires?i dont think it really matters
August 25, 200817 yr just tap into the wire thats connected to the remote start.its a tach signal, just be sure to setup the gauge accordingly
September 11, 200817 yr I know I'm bumping a oldish thread but you can buy a tachometer with an inductive pickup for distributorless vehicles.
