sorry if this is in the wrong place, i wasnt really sure where to put it. move if needed. i just know lots of RE questions get asked so i'd thought i'd start it here.

i posted the same thing on caraudio forum and thought i might as well post it here too.

if anyone has any ideas i am open for anything.

-getting around on a build for an 18 inch 2005 xxx. ive done some searching on box sizes and such for this and i am thinking...

8 cubes

34 hz

115 inches of port

do those numbers sound about right? bigger box? more port?

this is going in a 97 grand marquis...huge effing trunk...FTW

amp is a saz1500

i was also porting the rear deck and taking out the back deck speakers. was thinking sub back and port pretty much right into the "ported rear deck area." not too sure on that idea though...

any other ideas for getting this big trunked car loud?

i can get some pics sometime if anyone would like to see the area i am working with.

weston

I did the exact same thing with my 97 Town Car as far as removing the back speakers go. Then I sealed up the back dash except the 6x9 holes with sound deadener. Worked great for me. I'd assume it would work just as well with the Mercury since they are pretty similar cars.
