well i am going to build a couple of twelves here in the next couple of weeks, and i was trying to find a couple of threaded adapters that tc sounds used for these type of top plates.

and of course i just can't find any, except for robot underground, but he wants 80 bucks a piece

so i got with our in house machinist and made these up.

they are designed to be a interference fit that way when mounted sideways they won't shift from the weight. the id is a couple hundredths smaller than the threads on the motors.

i will have to make some 1/4-20 guide rods out of 3" bolts to align the adapters, because they will have to be heated with a propane torch to expand them first.
