I'm thinking about replacing my two-way components with a DIY three-way front stage. I'd purchased a set of Seas CA18RLY 6.5" woofers and 27TAFNC/G tweeters last year, but the mids are too deep for the stock door locations. I ended up going with JBL P650c components which sound good, but I've always wanted to try something better.

The plan would be to put 4.5" mids in the door panel, and put the 6.5" woofers and tweeters in the kick panel. I have a SAX-100.4 and SAX-100.2, so I should be fine with amplification. Any suggestions on 4.5-5" mids that will complement the other pieces but still comes in a shallow depth (<= 70mm)?
