Posted August 24, 200817 yr I have looked every where and have only found very few discussions and i know it puts out decent power for what it is. My question is this can it run at 1 ohm all day long beating? im doing a groundpounder in a integra hatch with 2 18" level 5 DC's and i have 2 of these.I am over seas on a deployment for the army at the moment so i cant wire them up or anything so i need to know if they can run at 1 ohm or not befor i order the 18sany advice would be greatly appricated!

August 24, 200817 yr Author Well the reason i asked is because the stuff i have found said it would go into protect at 1 ohm and im hoping thats not the case.Thank you for the response as well
August 24, 200817 yr there is no way you have enough space to run them subs properly your looking at a 20 cu box 14 after displacement.
August 24, 200817 yr Author Well rusty said i could do a box at 10 cubes and it would be perfectly fine... this is coming from the man who made the subs LOL
August 24, 200817 yr why would they rate it at one ohm if it's not stable there? i'll wager those people don't have the electrical to keep up and what is happening is a voltage drop. my ma audio hk4000d was the same way. voltage drop below 9.5 or so, amp was off.and audiopipe makes decent stuff. i've used some in the past, (love the wire) and have no issues.wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
August 28, 200817 yr Author Ok has any one did any tests to see how much it actually puts out? i havent found any website that people actually have tested it...
August 30, 200817 yr Author or any info on the 15001ds to shed some light on this subject, there is no info what so ever about how much it produces, and i cant test it till i get home in mid dec early jan... so any information would be greatly appricated
August 30, 200817 yr it will go into protect when ran one ohm bridged. That amp is two 1500's in one case, it is a dual monoblock stable at 1 ohm per channel. I have installed a 3000, and a 1500....... And the 1500 will go into protect at a .5ohm load with very strong electrical.hope that helps.

October 31, 200816 yr Well the reason i asked is because the stuff i have found said it would go into protect at 1 ohm and im hoping thats not the case.Thank you for the response as wellI know this is an old bump, but...We had a 3000D Strapped at 10hm on the 200A fusing they recommended. We used a Circuit breaker and would pop the circuit breaker but never went into protect.
