I was wondering when i need to upgrade the electrical in my 00' Jeep Grand Cherokee it has a 136 amp alternator.

I have but not installed yet a 12" Fi SSD Sub w/copper coils being powered by an AQ 1200D amp at 2ohms. then i have CDT ES620 comps being powered by the AQ 4X90.

Sub getting about 900 watts and the Comps getting 240 watts with gains turned down.

    That is a decent sized alternator for a stock unit.

    I'd do ground wiring upgrade to the engine compartment as well as the Big 3, then install your equipment & monitor your voltage.

    That will determine if you do need to bother with any more expensive upgrades.
