anything but american bass

Atomic

Quick review :

Atomic 5000.1 = almost the same thing as the AB 500.1 (minor diffrences in the pre-amp section)

And the AB 500.1 is exactly the same thing as the IA 40.1 and a generation of the Hifonics Goliath (can't remember which)

There also is the AB 700.1 which is similar to the Atomic 7000.1

Before going off on the "my buddy said this amp is crap" routine start doing a bit of reaserch.

that kinda saddens me.

ok. well I trust you.

I'll admit I have secondhand knowledge of American Bass, but the first hand was from a very well respected and knowledgable equipment tester/installer. A few years ago he said they were cheap power with an emphasis on cheap. I think there was some kind of little saying, like Scratchy Bass (instead of american bass) because they didn't produce clean power. But maybe they've changed since then. I imagine so if it's the same as the IA 40.1. That's a very well respected amp.

realmofexcursion.com and go the amp guts section
