Hello, I have a 40.1 that I purchased used and it played fine when I got it up until now. I played it for a long period of time with the car not running but I wasn't playing it loud. The amp goes straight into protect mode now and there was smoke coming out of it around the terminal blocks where the power and ground connect to the amp so I guess that the power supply is blown. Could you please give me a price quote on the repair and also send me the shipping address and the paypal information for the payment. Thanks in advance.

What does your electrical consist of that you were playing it with the car off?

I have dual runs of 1/0 from the front battery which is a redtop and two yellowtops in the rear and stock alternator. It probably would have been ok but It played for like 4 hours with the car off. I thought It would be alright because I was playing it on low volume at 2 ohm load.

talk about dumb. 4 hours on a fast disharge front battery. lol. what a waste of a good amp

I can bench 135 a bunch of times, but eventually I get tired and drop it on my chest...........lol

Sorry for the pun, you can call us at 256-417-6658 (may have to leave a message) or email [email protected] for a price quote on the repair.
