i was wondering if i could power one rl-p 18 with an aq2200d. would i get the sub in d4 and wire it in parallel to get a 2 ohm load, (which is 1300watts ). or should i get d2 and wire it in series to get a 4 ohm load? (740 watts) the soundsplinter website says 500 to 1000watts.

That subwoofer doesn't need a whole lot of power to wang away. I'd go with the dual 2 ohm model.

I would do D2 wire coils parallel and turn all the levels like gain, boost, all the way down.

uhhhh NO.

That would wire the sub to 1 ohm and send the full brunt of that amp to it. Even with the gain all the way down, it'll be far too much power for the RL-p.

you'll want to wire in SERIES for a final 4 ohm load.

maybe, but it is defidently not safe nor recommended to run that thing anywhere near 2200 watts, id say d2 in series

If you don't already have the amp, get something else that doesn't have dubious build quality.

Would that be a general consensus? I thought they had a solid reputation??? Have you experienced it yourself?

Hmmm, one of my posts magically disapeared......that's weired.
