could you use 6 volt batteries in car audio? I know if you wire two in series it would make 12 volts, but then how can you get it to co exist with your 12 volt startying battery? 6 volt batteries have alot better reserve capacity

    You could, but unless you're talking about a 18V separate system I don't really see the point. Unless you're sitting on a pile of free 6V's to use.
