Sorry to come across that way. It wasn't my intent. It's just that I read dozens of your posts here.

I ask questions so people can get answers, most are predecided and want someone to just reiterate what they like even if it is the wrong answer. I won't do that.

It's not the questions; it's the firm opinions on configs/gear that you've never heard. That doesn't exactly make one credible.

What about the 15mm Trupan that BJ will use for the project?

Exactly why I rounded down to 10lbs or 66% of the weight of MDF. It won't be quite that light though.

OK. Thanks for the explanation.
The internal volume is per ID's specs. Having built and listened to other ID subs in similarly advised boxes, I'm not doubting the choice.

.9 came from ID direct:

.35-.45 is recommended. I used the lower of the two and then added the volume of the two drivers which gets us to .8-.9. I did read that you said .6, but again you ask to have a nice sounding system and for that it means the sub is supposed to play the lows. Putting two of them in that small box won't help with that.

ID's median recommendation is .35ft^3 per sub. With Poly, the perceived volume is larger. I'm curious as to how you managed to estimate the lows without knowing the room gain, relative to the specific trunk, the cabin response, etc. Let me help you out; it's impossible.

What solution do you have in mind, given my constraints and desires? Denim helped a lot. Let's hear what you've got.

{I tried editing the format again, but the app wouldn't let me without deleting relevant text. Sorry for the mess}
