October 27, 200816 yr Without any problems, ever?100 watts.....And that isn't being a smartass. Seriously, a question like that tells me you are looking for a number that you can go totally apeshit with and think you'll be fine. You can blow many drivers with far less wattage than you would ever think if you aren't carefull. The correct question should be-I have a XX" BL in a (sealed/ported) box of XX cubic feet tuned at XXHz (if ported). How much power will the sub need to be brought to it's full potential output? I ask this because I completely understand that power requirements are based mostly on enclosure alignment....
October 27, 200816 yr Well.. I have a "Fully Loaded" Fi BL 12 (daily option) in a 2.6 cubic foot box @ 32hz, and I push ~1500w rms to it daily. It takes it like a champ, lots of output, and it sounds great. As long as you set your gains properly you shouldn't have any problems.
October 27, 200816 yr Author Thanks Kpete.Another question is if I wanted to upgrade to 3 15" BL in 6 months, and I have a kicker 1500zx, should I try to sell the kicker and buy the Rockford Fostgate T2000, so I dont have to worry about getting a new amp? Or will the kicker be just as loud with one 15" BL subwoofer, and I should just wait until I upgrade?
October 27, 200816 yr Author And 95 Honda Im not sure of the dimensions yet, my neighbor is giving me his old box for cheap, because Im planning on upgrading to 3 15"
