Posted October 27, 200816 yr Hey guys, I was just wondering if anyone has had expierience with these tweeters. My cous wanted to get some of these or the "horns" To play around with. Anyone had expierience with the horns? I have never heard a tweeter horn. He has, that is why he wantes some to play around with in his van. I dunno though, any thought on these?

October 27, 200816 yr Author If all he wants is volume, they're a good idea. Very high efficiency, extremely bright...I think that is what he is going for, He is wanting to slowly turn his van into his own little work of art lolz. Are there any that are loud and sound smooth, I always thought that it was one or the other. I know there is probably a way to get some great sounding tweeters that will also be loud as hell. But isn't that usually the toss up?
October 27, 200816 yr In that case I'd go with horns made for under-dash mounting, such as ID ones, or Illusion Audio, or USD...and compression drivers with more linearity. Horns can be incredibly detailed and realistic, but like anything if you let it overpower everything else, you can toss "good sounding" out the window
October 27, 200816 yr Author ComPression Drivers? Any advice on these Rick... I mean Jim I would love to get him something that is detailed and realistic and loud haha. He makes alot of his own music, So I think this would be a great way to go. Could you go active with these? I have been doing a little research and I would like to go active one of these days.
October 27, 200816 yr Author any bullet/horn tweeter is loud as hell. lolI wouldn't mind getting one and trying them out. Just to play around with some setups.

These are finicky enough that you really want the ability to attenuate and change crossover points on the fly.
October 28, 200816 yr i have 2 selenium st350 super tweeters from partsexpress and i must say they get loud and sound better than i thought they would.
