Posted November 6, 200816 yr Right now I am running 2 polk momo 12's single vc, in sealed 1 cube boxes behind my seat. I am thinking of switching to 1 12 in a ported box and adding 2 8's for some more midbass. I dont have the room to port both subs. The sealed box are fine but I listen to a wide range of music, sometimes they dont hit the low low notes as well as I want them. I was just wonder if there was any suggestions about the quality of sound or should I just suck it up.I dont want to cut the back wall or anything, though I am thinking about modding the rear speaker spots on the wall behind the door/ seat for the 8's. I have a good sound for the most part it s just hitting the hard low notes that I want to fill out some more, but I dont want to lose the tight hitting bass either. Thanks for any help
November 6, 200816 yr Do a ported 12" in back and build a custom center console and mount 2 8" up front into the console sealed.

November 6, 200816 yr If the 8's you want to add are midbasses in your front doors or kicks, , if your plan was to run 8" subs with a 12" it is a terrible idea. Sounds to me like your box is way too small which is killing your lows.

If I still dont get what I want from it Ill port it out. The midbass would be in the back with 12's I was going to build kickpanels for some 6.5" and just leave it but I am not sure if I wanna go through the trouble of it. Sounds good the way that it is just does not hit the low lows. Ill keep you guys posted about the turn out.
