November 6, 200816 yr Author Placement of front speakers for better imaging, removal of 6x9s and adding a sub would be a good start.I'm thinking about installing component speakers , still looking a good one.But as a beginner of SQ I want to know what specs I should look for? E.G freqs range , amp THD , etc.On the other hand having a car PC made me think about 5.1 system , I 'm thinking about having 2 component sets for front and rear and a sub as you recommended.but If the car PC will not give me the quality I 'm looking for I'll just connect the sound card to the HU AUX.
November 6, 200816 yr Drop the Coaxials. Pick up a set of separates, run 2-way active. Don't do anything with the rears.Deaden the entire car. Use one sub in a sealed or IB configuration.
November 6, 200816 yr Installation, installation, installation. Mediocre gear in the best install will sound better than the best gear in a mediocre install always. Get ready to spend some time in your car.

I totally agree installation may make the system perfect or damn bad.while surfing I found Zapco Symbilink , seems perfect I don't know it deserves or not, what do you think?

You instead use a crossever before the amplification and then send one amp channel to each speaker.IB is Infinite Baffle. Usually requiring less power but using your entire trunk as the enclosure.

November 7, 200816 yr For a 2 way active setup you can use a headunit with built in crossovers like the Pioneer 880prs or the Alpine 9887. Do a search for active crossovers and come back with questions after the search instead of before
