November 8, 200816 yr Author Yes, its a 2005 mustang.I plan on doing the big three asap, but the alternator is tough to get to. It actually already has 4 gauge wire going to it so I was hoping I could get away with just doing the 2 negative cables.Anyone have any more advice? Also, what stores sell welding cable? I plan on picking some up tomorrow. Thank you Edited November 8, 200816 yr by S197

November 10, 200816 yr A H.O. alternator would help.Don't you think a better battery might help more? I've never seen a car need more than a battery with only a 100.4 and around 1200 RMS, and I've helped install plenty of systems almost identical to that without any electrical problems. What kinda battery is up front? I'd put a yellow top there, see if it helps, if not, put one in the trunk, I bet it solves the problem.
