So i know hifonics isnt the best of companies, but ive heard mixed opinions about the 2008 brutus amp lineup as to whether or not it does rated power, I was wondering if anyone knows for sure what they output(specifically the 1608) or has any birth sheets/ done any bench testing.

If not what do you think the bxi1608d does at 1 ohm and at 2 ohm, it claims 1600 at 1 and 1100 at 2...

its not that hifonics doesnt put out rated power because most of them do. they are just not reliable.

are you sure about that

I have a bx 1608 I ran it at 1 ohm forever and i never had trouble, I don't think it does 1600 rms it only has 2 70 amp fuses so that would but it around 1400 at the most. but i thought mine was great, i ran 2 12" L5s and then 1 15" axis and i liked it, but now i like my sundown.

here is a vid of it powering the axis

about which part?

that they put out claimed power.

i know personaly on both accounts.

It may be a square wave, but rated power nonetheless!

how would it be puttin out 1600 rms with 2 70 amp fuses.. are they really really efficient?

does anyone have a guess or sheet saying what the 1600 puts out? imy brother just got one and im curious what hes actually getting... its much louder than his alpine 400 and sounds as good, i just dont want him thinking he has 1600 watts but i dont what he actually has, how do you use a dmm to measure output?

At 1 ohm the most you would get is 1400, as for measuring, you need a clamp meter(I think thats what is called) and you measure the current. I'm not sure of which wires though
