Only difference in pay is in the housing allowance. The difference for an E-1 is minimal and will depend on where she's stationed. Only reason she'll even get a housing allowance rather than having to live in the barracks is becasue she has dependents.

And she won't get that allowance until she moves into a house off base/post.

It has been 12 years since I was in basic training, we were given money then. But, I think the military has gone almost 100% paperless (direct deposit) for paychecks these days.

I have not seen a paycheck since the late 90s come to think about, it has all been direct deposit...

Base Pay= $1347.00 This will likely increase a bit at the first of the year. This is pay without dependents.

Everything else will vary greatly. Where they are stationed and also if the child is living with them, paying child support, ank after basic training and such.
