June 9, 200916 yr I havent visited this site for some time and sorry to dig this post up,but I have a USA-400 that needs repaired, when I called I was told they are no longer rerpairing amps that old.I remember when US would replace the whole board fot the mentioned flat rate.I bought this amp for $350 and when recieved it didnt work,if I could have this amp repaired nothig would make me happier.Greg this may make you unhappy but my USA-200 needs repaired again also,i removed my sub for a short time and somehow the sub output on the deck got turned back on and the speaker wires touched. Please let me know if my amps can be repaired.
June 9, 200916 yr somehow the sub output on the deck got turned back on and the speaker wires touched. Please let me know if my amps can be repaired.Sub output on the HU only controls wether the sub amp receives signal or not through the RCA's. If the amplifier is on and the output is shorted it doesn't matter if there is signal present at the input or not. Only way to keep the amp in the car if you are not using it is to remove the remote wire.
June 11, 200916 yr my bad,I thought if there was no input signal there would be no output signal.and rather than unhookin the remote wire, why not pull the fuse under the hood,in some installls the remot wire isnt that accessible.this wasnt a post to point out what I did wrong,i was a post about getting my amp repaired,I know I did a stupid.
July 31, 200916 yr i guess my question doest really pertain to a full repair but thought i would ask before doing anything. the threads of the remote wire input have been stripped, not the screw threads or screw its self, just the plastic threads on the amps remote wire input. i thought about buying a slightly larger diameter screw but didt know if you guys could do something for me or if anyone had a idea or simple solution, thanks.
October 22, 200915 yr awesome i case mines not doing what it does i will ship it out to fix. And its a ax3000de
