Hey guy don't know if you've heard anything about the JBL GTO 1400.1 amp. I was thinking of changing my older PG Tantrum for it. I'm currently driving a JL 13w7 with the PG but I think it's not putting out the wattage it says it does, I mean the fuse rating is only 80 amps compared to the JBL 160 amps.

What do you think?

The PG amps do put out rated. Fusing means next to nothing if the amp is 90% efficient.

According to the birthsheet of the amp It's about 67% efficient and the wattage goes to about 1500 but at 14.24 volts.

Do you know anything about the new JBL amps? I previously owned a BP 1200.1 and it rocked!

for a mid level class D I would take the JBL

the biggest reason is the JBL's do have a very high effective damping factor and have

better than average woofer control.....this is really noticable in low tuned enclosures

with the note ripps

nothing against the PG.....good amp..just not as good IMO

I have a PG 1200.1 and I love it. so how much do you want for yours?......lol

Do any of you guys know if I would get a greater spl using the JBL 14001?

I was also thinking of the JL 1000/1. A bit pricy though....
