hey guys i want to upgrade my sub and box i want full power coming outta my amp 2600 rms @ 1 ohm hifoniks amp bxi2608.

What 18 inch sub can handle this with no problem as a daily driver? give me your ideas thanks a lot

a BTL can take it all day if your box is right

what box do you recommend? i want to use areos instead of a slot port this time

rap mostly i like metal too but those are opposites so i say rap

well make the box around 7-9 cuft3 and the port 30-32 hertz

im gonna be putting it in a 07 dodge charger so it has to slide into the trunk cant be too big also

An FI BTL Would handle that easy as a daily driver. Also note that those amps are slightly over-rated as they put out around 2300 watts.

well the reccomendations on a box on the site is 5-10cuft

If u turn the gain down a bit the IA DP SHOULD be abkle to handle it.

ive heard good things about aq subs. only thing is they like high tuning like around 38hz. and they can handle around 3000 and less

I thought the 18 liked lower tuning my frind has an audioque 15 in a 40 hz box we build chit slams at 1000 watts

#1, it doesn't matter what your gain setting is, you can always get full power out of that or any amp

#2, you can ruin any sub talked about here with that amp

#3, every signgle 18 on this site can handle that amp if you are carefull

So the moral is, there is no correct answer to your question. Nobody knows how much power that amp will put out in your particular application. Buy your sub, build your box and use your head and you will be fine.

i agree, and dont expect to destory worlds with that amp. i've installed and ran myself the entire brutus line and they are good budget amps. any 18 here will take that power if your set correctly and keep that signal clean!!!!!

i thought about it all day im just gonna keep my fisher customs box it holds a 15 3.5 cubes at 34 hz im gonna get an omega 15.

what was your reason?

because the 18 omega needs 6-7 cubes and i cant get that into my trunk

i know this thread is now pretty much done because the OP made a decision, but i'd like to add that i would put a DC lvl 4 on the list. Although it hasn't been very long, my lvl 4 came alive when i took off the 1600w brutus amp and put a Crunch GP3000P on it @1ohm. Keep in mind i have the amp set with an Oscope so it is clean signal. I have yet to do the math to find out the guestimated wattage but its close.
