Posted December 16, 200816 yr Hey Guys,I have two 10" Arsenals(Gen. previous to the current model) in my truck at the moment and will actually be down sizing things in the near future with a pair of 8" Assasins. I just bought a home and was thinking that I might be able to use the Arsenals in the Home theater. The room is approx. 12' X 20'. I do have a Dayton 1000W sub amp I bought from Parts express to use.Would size box would I use and how low can I tune the box. Help would be appreciated. Thanks!
December 16, 200816 yr Would size box would I use Depends entirely on the T/S parameters of the driver and the goals you set for this project.how low can I tune the box. I recommend 20hz at the lowest since the sub's SSF is set at 18 hz. You can adjust the SSF of the sub by changing resistors.-Robert
December 16, 200816 yr I think you mean the amp's SSF. . .Just like the box depending on the t/s parameters, so does the tuning.Anyone have the old Arsenal t/s parameters?

December 18, 200816 yr Author Woulds these specs allow me to use the subs in home theater. There will be little music use for this in the house. I figured since I had them I would ask if I could get them into the house and have them sound good. I'm looking for a good low tuning. The current sub I have is an 8" Orb Audio sub thats tuned to 28hz. The sub does great for it's size and power, but now that I have a bigger room, I need more. I really want an IB system in the house, but this will have to wait at least 6months. Any suggestions on a path I can take?
December 20, 200816 yr Looks like 2.5 ft^3 tuned to 23 Hz would work good. How much power do you have?

December 22, 200816 yr Author Looks like 2.5 ft^3 tuned to 23 Hz would work good. How much power do you have?1000w at 4ohms (so says the Dayton Rack Amp.)
December 24, 200816 yr Author I don't think it will actually put out that much power, but caution will be applied.
January 5, 200916 yr Author Looks like 2.5 ft^3 tuned to 23 Hz would work good. How much power do you have?[/quotThat would be per sub correct. Also, is there a Mac program like the winISD for enclosures?
January 5, 200916 yr Yes, per sub.No sure about the program, as I am not a Mac user. . .maybe someone else will answer.
January 6, 200916 yr Unibox may work since it is a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet and Excel is available for the Mac. Since I'm a PC user at both work and home, this is just a guess.-Robert
