music- hip hop and rap

sub- audioque sdc2.5 12

amp- jl audio 500/1

max height- 14.25

port tuning- figured 38

max depth- 14.125

max length- 31.125

using .75 thick mdf i get roughly 2.75 cubix feet..

so i figured with sub displacment and port i would be at about 2.5 which is what audioque is the biggest i should run the box..

now with the port i put in 2 inches wide by 8 inches tall and i would need a port length of 7.51 inches..

now my question is does all that sound about right? should i have the port longer?

when i did the port at 14.25 tall and 2 inches wide it said i needed a port length of 14.71..

basically just looking for some advice on what to do with the port and how to build the box
